Introduction



It always cools me off from the hotness without fail. When I lick it, I can feel its smoothness, soft, and delicious feeling as it slips down to my throat. Sometimes it can be sour and sometimes it could be sweet! It is liked by almost everyone, and it can link us to happy childhood memories. This is the best dessert in the universe, ice cream! It is the perfect ready-made dessert and is available in so many mouth-watering flavours. Living in this hot country, ice cream had become more irresistible! I’m craving for it now. Aren’t you?

Once I thought about the ice cream brand that had more choices on the flavor of ice cream, Baskin Robbins crosses over my minds! 



 The birth of Baskin Robbins was traced back at 1941 in Los Angeles. The founders of Baskin-Robbins, Mr. Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins started their first store by injecting creative ingenuity and philosophy of fun into their ice-cream store. However, Baskin-Robbins in Malaysia was founded earlier in Malaysia at 2003. With a humble beginning, the store attracted public interest and in 10 years, they had grown to about 75 stores in Malaysia. All ice-cream products selling in Malaysia’s Baskin-Robbins stores are fully imported from United States. To ensure the consistency and taste of its product, each shipment of delicious Baskin-Robbins flavour is subjected to stringent quality control from the very first step to the time they serve their premium ice-cream to their customer.

Why Baskin Robbins ?


 As we know, sweet, sugary food can be especially comforting since it raises your serotonin levels and makes you feel happier for a brief time. When you eat sugar, your brain releases opioid, a natural chemical that leads to feelings of pleasure and happiness. Almost everyone couldn't resist the greatness of dessert. However, Baskin Robbins can be consider as a "luxury" brand in food and beverage industry. Hence, we are curious about who would actually willing to spent more to enjoy it. Thus, Baskin Robbins!

The ice-cream industry is categorised in monopolistic competition market structure. Ice cream industry has a large number of sellers and is usually firms with differentiated products. It is easy to entry and exit as it barrier requires like few resources and low fixed cost to run a business. All the firms are profit maximizers. The entrepreneur has a more significant role than in firms that are perfectly competitive because of the increased risks associated with decision making.

Limitation
  1. We cannot ensure the reliable of the results. Since the people who conduct survey might be not taking it seriously. 
  2. Lack of knowledge in this specific industry.
